Univox Badazz

The Univox Badazz guitar (U1820) and bass(U1820B) were copies of the Guild S-100. It had a bolt on neck w/ Gibson style head, 22-fret rosewood fretboard, two 12-pole humbuckers, similar vibrato as early Guilds, pickups were somewhat microphonish and high output.

Availability

Available in cherry red, orange sunburst (1, 2) and red sunburst (1) or natural , list price was $199.50 w/ case (bass $220). Stopped production in 1974, 71 models had a rounded fretboard near the pickbuard, all others were squared.
Bass was also availible in sunburst, red and natural (1, 2, 3).

A quote from a book I saw: "a decent little guitar with a nice comfortable feel and a pair of super-hot humbucking pickups".
